Data Robotics, Inc., makers of Drobo – the world’s first storage robot, is looking to add a Product Manager or Jr. Product Manager to our Product Management team to help drive the direction of our core product further up market.
As part of the Product Management team, you will identify market opportunities and ensure that the products fit their intended markets. Additionally, you will work cross-functionally to drive new product introductions as well as updates to the existing product line.
Very strong communication and interpersonal skills are a requirement. Experience in the storage industry preferred (data structure and data management concepts, including file systems, databases and volume management; understanding of general disk array subsystem design concepts such as RAID).
Responsibilities:
- Managing the entire product line life cycle from product definition through end of life.
- Educating Data Robotics’ sales organization about products and solutions.
- Evangelizing Data Robotics´ products and solutions at industry events, seminars, press interviews, and customer briefings.
- Identify and prioritize requirements based upon customer input, competitive drivers, and market research.
- Identify, specify and prioritize features, functionality and capabilities; work with engineering to translate marketing requirements into engineering specifications.
- Manage inbound product management, from customer validation and MRDs / PRDs to collaborating with product marketing on outbound product collateral, competitive analysis, pricing, and documentation.

- Self-starter and multi-tasker
- Strong written and oral communication skills required
- 5-7 years related job experience
- Experience in new product development and managing the entire product line life cycle from product definition through end of life.
- Experience working effectively with and driving cross-functional teams (engineering, marketing, sales, etc.)
- Understanding and technical knowledge about storage systems and storage software applications.
- Experience within the storage industry is preferred, but not required.
